@mariadomenica Prayers sent your way that everything goes well for you. I can understand how scared you must be. Fingers crossed for the best possible outcome.
BTW, I'm a Diane too.

@mariadomenica I am so very sorry you are going through this. Absolutely you have my prayers. We have been in dire situations a few years ago with many praying and received comfort and help and healing from them.
I know you are scared, of course you are, but please take some comfort in the sincere best wishes and strength of prayers from me and from many others here.
Please come back and let us know how you are doing and never hesitate to ask for prayers!

@mariadomenica --I am very sorry for your news. But it is not a death sentence. You sound like me--only I was dx in 2012 with stage 3a invasive lobular cancer all hormone positive at age 58. I had the same history as you. And last June I was declared cured of cancer by my oncologist!! Went thru surgery and chemo and radiation and preventative drugs. It was all terriying and horrible but I made it!! What's important is that you found it now and are going to get rid of it. Yes prayers are nice--but you need medical advice and care more. Do your research and find an excellent medical team and hospital. Make sure you ask questions and hopefully you have good support from family and friends--- feel sorry and scared for yourself, but then just get mad and go forward. The cancer survivors board in Wellness has some really good people that you can sound off to---we have had all types of cancer. Keep us posted!!

I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in late March. Started chemotherapy in May -- infusions every other week -- and finished my eighth and final infusion two weeks ago,
Have a bit of a break before I start chemoradiation on the 25th. That will be 5 days a week for six weeks.
The goal is to shrink my two-inch tumor and then have surgery.
Staff has been great. As for the medications, there have been side effects -- some more annoying than others -- but, overall, I'm functioning and still working as an RN.
Grateful that I haven't experienced any nausea or vomiting. Every patient's response to the treatment is different.
There are so many on the forums who have experienced what you're going through right now. I'm certain that if you have any concerns you will find support here.

Being scared is a natural reaction to the diagnosis of cancer. Getting the results from the MRI will give a better result of what is actually there. Treatments today are much more effective than even a few years ago. Stay positive.
