Wow, another thing that doesn't work on the iPad.  No wonder posters all over this forum are unhappy with the program on iPad.

@VioletEyes Just so you know, most endocrinologists insist on the brand Synthroid because in generic meds, there is a tolerance. For example Tylenol 325mg tablets must contain 325mg of acetaminophen.

Generic acetaminophen 325mg tabs may contain 323mg or 327mg (just an example). In a drug like Synthroid, where a nano milligram can make a difference, it's very important to know exactly how much you are taking.

HI Bette.... I just looked on the bottle and it says Levothyroxine 50mg tablet.I guess that is the generic? I mentioned to her about wanting a brand ....but she called this in to my pharmacy so I never saw the prescription.

@betteb I had no idea, no wonder generic acetaminophen doesn't work as well as Tylenol for me.

I did discover, when I changed from a generic to a brand name for my blood pressure medicine, the name brand worked much better.

@If you mean the @ thing, it works on my iPad Air 2, but it's touchy. It's probably not touchy on a PC. You need to type the sign, and the immediately look for the drop-down list of names. The keyboard almost hides it. Also if you don't tap on a name within about 3-5 seconds the drop down list disappears and you have to re-type the sign and start over. It's tetchy.

ok this is a test. Got to be quick, but Noel's name doesn't show up as a choice at all. I have a Generation 4 iPad. Yes, that blasted keyboard popping up is NOT helpful!

Yes, that is the generic. The brand can be expensive, but worth it. Is your Dr an Endo? If she's not, you need to see and Endo. PC's should not be treating thyroid, and yes, you need to insist on the brand.

@glorybe Yes, I only buy the brand Tylenol and Advil

Hi everyone! Hope MGM's cold is over soon. How is the finger NoelSeven?

How do your eyes feel moonchilde?

I spent the AM at the ulta website using my 100 'playtime' points ($3 off) to get an OPI Tiramisu for Two nailpolish -- new from their Venice Collection and the Lancome Precision Eyeshadow brush #12 for when I travel. I also got 20% off too using their coupon.

I visited today a local Sephora for a Sephora Pro kabuki brush, but they were out of stock at 2 Sephoras and the one at the JCP. Salesclerk wanted to ship it to me, but I told her I wanted to see it in person and compare them. I ended up getting a Balenciaga rollon perfume called Florabotanica--floral scent for when I travel.

I stopped in a local ulta and bought the OPI Berlin There Done That and Italian Love Affair nailpolishes and also bought the Escada eau de toilette spray Turquoise Summer-- another floral scent for travel purposes. The cashier gave me a sample bottle of La Vie Est Belle by Lancome.

Tonight I am putting the Berlin one on my toenails and going to relax by reading the papers. I also have a load of laundry staring at me saying --'fold me'. LOL

Have a great evening all.

Hi JJM!

My finger is doing good... the splint is hot and uncomfortable, but that's my only choice Smiley Happy

DD gave me a copy of the new Fall issue of In Style, their yearly thick magazine.  I like a new Essie color which I ordered, Leggy Legend.  I see metalics will be big in polish for Fall.

I got your notification, @glorybe

The drop-down list gives names in order of when you last responded to one of their posts. If you were responding to someone from hours or the say before, it might not be visible, esp with the dang keyboard in the way. You might have to type the sign and then type Ho or something to get Homegirl as a choice. I think I've done that.

Eyes are fine, @JustJazzmom. My second surgery is scheduled for Sept 17th. Now that I'm no sleeping with the plastic shield on, my operated eye isn't so dry when I wake up.

I did a small load of laundry but don't have to worry about the dryer.  It's so hot in my apt it was all dry in 45 minutes!
