@ECBG   Hi Friend! We hit 97 yesterday but heat index  was over 100!! Sweltering....

I wish I could swim, but never learned how. Long story short, my Dad always owned a boat and we went to Kerr Lake for the weekends. When I was small, I went in over the side to test my life jacket and of course it was too big, not tight enough and I slipped out of it. Dad had to jump in after me. Scared the **** out of me.

I'll dip the toes in the ocean or sit on the steps in a pool, but that's as far as I go. My gym offered beginning swim classes for "scaredy cats", but canceled when not enough folks signed up. Maybe next year.

How are you in that cool mountain air? Shadow doing well and staying cool, too? Your property seeems to be quite wooded.

SO very sorry to hear about your experience!  Our older DS began teaching 3-5 year old children in the summer after passing lifesaving.  There was this darling 3 year old little girl that always wanted him to carry her in the water.  He was the only one she would swim to.  He was so flattered and enjoyed her so much!

We do have a lot of shade around our yard and woods; so much so, we don't thaw out for 3 days after the mtn schools go back.

You should come up and ride the parkway and go to Chimney Rock Park.  I could meet you in Biltmore Village for lunch.Smiley Happy

DS lived 2 blocks from this 12 years ago.

We were down to 81 today.  The other side of town thought they had a flash tornado last.  We had rain for an hour.

How are you?

@Shanus

Question please?

I have deep set eyes and am thinking about using a pencil.

What brand do you suggest and color for deep green eyes with a gray rim please?  If I'm in a shadow, I am thought to have dark brown eyes.

Thinking that black liner days are past.  Many thanks.Smiley Happy

@ECBG   You asked the right lady. My eyes are dark olive green and I changed from black awhile ago. I now use a dark charcoal grey or dark navy.

You've read I love to tightline...it covers that white area under the lashes and makes them look thicker. Sometimes I like to use a cream shadow stick to line above the lid and smudge it. Bobbni Brown has every shade you'd need (today I have on Golden Bronze which is natural looking, but goves definition) and also try Laura Mercier.

Pencil liner used most often is Urban Decay 24/7 pencils. There's every color you'd ever need.

Hope this helps.

As you may have noticed in "Outfit Of..", my eyes are deep set.  My upper lid isn't visible unless my face is moving.  Do I want to tight line?

Thanks!

@ECBG    Definitely tightline......It makes lashes look thicker, defines the eyes without taking up any lid space. Shadow can then go all over lid not having to leave room for liner.
