This is a little phrase that always runs through my mind, no matter what is going on.

That's how I taught my juniors and seniors.  The one I got into Duke, actually had a learning disability!

@SandySparkles @ECBG I'll give you a laugh about this picture!  I was an angel (no that is not the funny part!) in the church Christmas play when I was about this age.  Our mothers got a pattern for a wire frame and cheesecloth or gauze material to put on it for our wings.

Well, my mother, being my mother, put GOLD tinsel rope around the edges and gold glitter sprinkled on the cloth.  I was standing there saying "But I don't think they said to do that. . . "

Well, when I went into the holding room for the angels the night of the play the LOOKS I got from the other angels and the "You weren't supposed to do that!" and more comments. . . All from the other angels!  Who were REALLY upset!  

I tried to blame it on mother but they weren't buying it.

@ECBG I just reread this post, and think it is WONDERFUL that your student with a disability was accepted into Duke! That is quite an accomplishment!!!!
