Re: CLEAN UP YOUR ACT

[ Edited ]

I was just channel surfing and happened to hit on HSN, when Debby D was presenting a Nakery "intimate" set. (914-459)

If some thought the Q's presentation of a similar item was offensive, they'd be clutching their pearls and covering their ears, listening to Debby D.

She really went there, talking about how this duo product helps everything "down there"!  How it improves all aspects of your life and telling you to "go for it" in reference to something else/other activities.  She actually used the word s-e-x.

I was LOL thinking "Oh my, some people would not be happy!"

And just looking at the video of another host who must've presented it at another time?  She used the "V" word!  Saying a viewer told her she heard it said on air (and wasn't offended).  Woman Surprised

Oh and the item sold out.  What is the world coming to, when women think they can actually discuss these things on air?  Woman Very Happy

WHAT AN ALL TIME LOW. I can't believe they are talking about vaginas and vulva on a shopping network. Tell Shawn to cool it.

@usffan What in the world were they selling? 😳

I agree that posters putting their children in front of QVC (at any hour) is truly alarming and disturbing!..

Who would do that???

@They CallMe MRWILKES . True, true true!   But the real question is, what kid would sit and watch QVC.   LOL

And to anyone else that's having a melt down. If you don't like something, if you're offended or triggered here's an idea don't watch, change the channel. Someone says something and all of a sudden it's fine to cancel them, bully them, ruin their reputation and in some cases destroy their lives. That's what happens when you give people safe spaces because they can't handle feelings.

@Leahbeth70 So you get to berate posters?  That's a big double standard.  If you don't want to read and know what others think, and can't handle feelings other than your own views, you shouldn't participate in a bulletin that is all about getting together with people that think differently than you do.

@gaga there seems to be a small group of you on here that have way to much to say about Shawn and none of it kind.  There is also a large group of us on here that are sick of it. Enough is enough,  " just sayin"

I like Shawn.  Mind you I don't watch tv, I buy online.  But I watch her pod  casts and see her on online  videos.

As I said, I didn't watch, but from the conversations on this thread I know what they were, selling.   If women are offended by these shows, they should just turn off. Go read, run an errand. Etc.  There  is nothing against broadcast guidelines that would prevent them from selling these products on a shopping channel.  Or on TV for that matter.  Plenty of contraceptive  measures, personal hygiene products and such are sold on TV everyday.   Obviously, if they sold out, people are interested.  It may be something people are shy to buy in stores.  it would be a show, even if I watched QVC I wouldn't be interested in, and would find something else to do.   It has to be a hard subject to address, and advertise so more power to the hosts for presenting, lol. They advertise, and demonstrate personal products, and adult diapers on tv ....
