@LTT1 ... Isn't it interesting how doctors differ? At our clinic, the doctors all had a meeting (when they still had real doctors) and decided not to recommend more than 600 mg of calcium citrate a day as calcium contributes to clogging the coronary arteries. They said the rest of the calcium will come from your food (assuming we eat properly). I think this is one of those answers that will change every two years or so!

I have a sneaking suspicion that my PCP, who accepts MEDICARE, will be happy to recommend nearly anything that medicare (big pharma) wants!

@LTT1  I have a very dear friend that is caring for her brother with Alzheimers.  She has noticed the difference that the disease is progressing and when it becomes severe, she will have him placed in a facility that specializes in the disease.  She does not live with him but rather around the block.
