@Luvsmyfam The mileage on your car is 76k. You have had it for 12 years, average 6,333 miles per year. I wouldn't worry about excessive mileage since your driving is very little each year. I would keep my car and save my money for other emergencies.

@RedTop If that's true, the titles should be branded as "salvage" to alert any future buyer of the vehicle's history. Hopefully, these dealers are reputable and aren't trying to deceive their customers.

@luvluvluv if you have owned this car with no problems, 38,000 miles is nothing! I would keep it because you know it. To trade for a car to purchase with 23,000 that you do not know and pay all that money I would be hesitant. That being said, I dislike the entire car buying process. Agreed, my best experience was probaly 40 years ago purchasing from a woman.

I agree with you. Check that paperwork when you are closing the sale. F&I guys love to add all kind of things. This is where they make there money. I hate being passed from the salesperson to f&i where they now try to make it sound as if you agreed to all these things with your salesment. Speak up!!

I have bought my last two cars (both under 5 miles on the odometer) without a man or woman sitting next to me but a man across the table from me negotiating. Makes no difference to me.
I have been considering buying another new car but the one I own is only 7.5 years old with 36,000 miles on it. I traded in a 15 year old Ford Escape with 62,000 miles on it. I just need to wash mine and I am sure I will get over wanting a new car.
Good luck I hope you find one you absolutely love.

Manufacturer incentives are always changing. We like to pay cash but often there are incentives to finance. In one case we got an extra $2,000 off and low interest rate. We always check to be sure there is no penalty to pay off early (this could depnd on the state you are in.) and if so I finance and make a payment then payoff.
