Re: Bras 101🙆

I am pint-sized too! Lol

However, my rib cage measures large. And the twins did fall, maybe not very much but they did.

After trying on millions of styles recently, I ended u

 being very pleased with underwires for shaping and stretch material (no padding) for shape.

i found styles that fit in the following manufacturers:

Rhonda Shear Ah Divine

Bali (comfort Revolution 3484)

And an underwire cami made the same way; called shapewear but this item doesn't shape; fabric is ribbed and loose, which suits me!

Many times I have been measured and fitted by a supposedly professional expert and they were never much help.

Breezies full figure underwire-full coverage is the best for me. The fit is wonderful.  Even in the heat, the breathable air mesh openings  keep me very comfortable.

I change my bras daily. I wash in gentle action with gentle laundry soap

I take my showers at night. And I take the bra I've worn that day and give it a good rinse in the shower stream. Then I hang it up to dry.

In summer it can be dry by the morning but I alternate the bras I wear.

I currently LOVE the Olga Flirty balconette style. It gives a great lift and is very comfortable.

Had Wacoal bra a few years ago and absolutely hated it. Couldn't replace it fast enought.

Wacoal offers large selection. Most I don't like or care for. Have three styles would never live without. Not every bra is for everyone.

Quite true @Sweet_Serenity. A good friend loves Wacoal which was the reason I checked them out.

I can't tell you how many times I have been measured incorrectly in dept stores. Most of the people doing the measuring in those places weren't taught correctly. I go to a locally run shop that just sells bras and they always measure me correctly. All the ladies there have worked there for years. I have been mismeasured at Nordstroms, Belks, Lord and Taylor, Victoria Secret, etc... Most of the people there aren't experts in bras and undergarments like speciality shops are.

@Mz iMac

Speaking of "recover" .... I remember reading that you are never supposed to wear the same pair of sneakers two days in a row .... they need to "rest" for at least a day before wearing again.

I recall thinking what a stupid concept, and that someone was trying to bamboozle me ....  lol

IF someone could present me with some actual proof like some test results showing that bras breakdown faster if you wear them two days in a row then I might consider abiding by that dictate.  HOwever, all I have read is a bunch of opinions from so called experts.  Never seen any factual evidence.

For a gazillion years I have worn a bra from Victoria's secret. It was the best for me. full coverage unlined. Now they have changed it and it is hard and feels like a suit of armor and adds a cup size which is not necessary in my case. I have tried breezies but the boning (I need it) digs into me no matter what size I try. Wacoal don't fit either. So I am wearing ancient bras from VS that I treat like gold.

@hennypenny

Here's a couple suggestions to consider ....  first ... complain on the VS website about this style change.  So few people do that each comment is seriously considered.  It can make a difference in some cases.

Secondly, if you haven't already done so, do a search on Ebay for that VS style and the band size number.   Set the search up for you to get an email when there's a new listing.

The reason I think this could be helpful is because I have gotten bras like that in the past and ....  get this ..... if you do a basic search for "Victorias Secret bra" with no other specifics, right now there are 17,823 active auctions for these bras!    LOL

Based on my previous success, I think it's definitely worth a try!
