Not enough said about wearing the right foundations. Bra will make your outfit. Yes! I'll say it again. Correct size and style changes how you look and feel. Knowing your measurements first and foremost. Most of the female population wearing the wrong bra. Iam not full figured rather full busted. There is nothing more unflattering or uncomfortable than ill fitting bra. Recently visted Nordstrom's fitting expert from Wacoal measured me since loosing weight was having more problems than care to share with you. She explained why it is necessary to measure when weight loss or weight gain occurs. Retro 855186 wacoal bra not only sexy and flattering comfortable. Reason this bra works best seamed design. Stark Beauty another great bra however found didn't give me the support needed after few days wearing. Tested several styles Retro hands down best. If you want to have more information Wacoal fit experts helpful. One last thing, Hand wash in cool water use dawn and pat dry don't wear the same bra two days in a row. Needs to rest and recover. Know this sounds silly however if you care for your bras last longer. Last Retro 8months old only now loosing strength. Great bra! Worth the few extra dollars.

Well said. I wear only Wacoal, sueded, underwire full figure. I am too old to wear uncomfortable bras.

Alternating bras extends life also.

Re: Bras 101🙆

[ Edited ]

I think a lot of women end up wearing the wrong size bra because stores don't carry all the sizes.    And different bras from different companies don't all fit the same.

because a bra costs more doesn't mean it is always better.

I would never wear the same bra 2 days in a row in the summer especially when it has been this hot.

Need support that no longer exists in lower priced bras. Look at the cost like this. How much am I wearing and what is the garment for. Bra for me is luxury and necessity. Worth every penny and would pay more if I had to. Plus! Makes me feel sexy and comfortable. 🙌

"don't wear the same bra two days in a row. Needs to rest and recover."

Recover from what?confused.gif

As a proud member of the Itty Bitty Club & basically a new bra wearer (haven't worn one since 1968).  That comment is strange to me.

As for the summer, I go braless.  I found these stickie cup thingy at Kohls.

I throw my bras in the machine in hot water inside a mesh net using Woolite & air dry.

I also wear them more than 2 days as I take it off once I am inside.

Bras still looking good after a year.

FWIW... I had to go to a bra boutique shop to get properly measured for a bra size as well as a proper bra-type I liked.   I was clueless at the age of 65 when the "twins" decided to move down south. icon_exclaim.gif

I "rotate" my bras & shoes.

Never wear the same 2 days in a row.

I barely fill a B cup ... my bras last forever.  I really don't have enough to sag.

I like demi-cup w/o wires.

I NEVER wear bras with wires, I buy either Cacique or Playtex special bras for post BC surgery patients to hold our prosthesis. I NEVER wear a bra more than one day without washing it. I wash in cold gentle and dry on low. They generally last me about a year. I pay around $25 per bra for Cacique but if you watch for sales sometimes you can get BOGO or buy one get one half price.I am a D cup on my non surgical side and a B cup on my lumpectomy side - yes, they took out quite a lot. Most days, since menopause, I can't take the heat of wearing the prosthesis so I wear a C cup bra and just deal with it, when we get dressed up I do wear the prosthesis so my nice outfits look even.

I had a professional fitting after I lost 40lbs, I had been wearing Genie Bras for years so I didn't really know what size bra I wore.  I'm wearing regular bras now for the first time in years, I get mine from Herroom.  I don't like foam cups or padding.  Now that I've lost 55lbs, the girls are smaller than they've been since before I had kids 30something years ago.  So can comfortable wear underwires.  I cannot even imagine washing a bra after every wear...why???  I do wear the same bra 2 days in a row.  I don't get that rest and recover thing for bras.  Shoes...yes but not bras.     I read somewhere that it's the washing that wears a bra out, the elastic breaks down so we should never wash them in the washer and never put them in a dryer.  They last about 50 washings, none the less.  I wash them in cold water and air dry.  I think I wear a bra 5 or 6 times before I wash it.   I haven't paid a lot for a bra yet because I was still getting used to real bras.

Clarification seems to be needed. Everyone find what works you. If you don't want to alternate bra's then don't. I know what works for me and plan continuing. Appreciate reading everyone's feedback!🙋
