Oh my gosh, it's wonderful what you achieved! You should be incredibly proud of yourself because it's one of the most difficult things to do in life. On average, people are always trying to lose weight. You had the stamina, courage, and determination to achieve such an incredible goal in life. You cared enough about yourself and the body that God gave you to make yourself feel better.  God bless you and I know I don't know you, but, I'm proud of you! I bet you look fantastic!  You should treat yourself to something great for such a great accomplishment.

@Luv2Dnce Thank you but please do not bring G-d into the conversation since you have no idea what my beleifs are thank you

Personally I'd take the comments with the good intentions that come with them. I had someone ask if I was a specific religion once, I said no, he said oh ok I was going to wish you a happy holiday and my response was I'll take whatever well wishes you'd like to give me.

@pigletsmom2 Not the point my losing weight had nothing to do with G-d, it was watching what I ate and working out. Not G-d involvement here. Not like someone saying G-d bless you. I did the work not her End of story

@I am still oxox, like me, many believe that God is the source of our ability to make any achievement possible...yours included.

She literally said it was your doing. She praised YOUR stamina. She made a nice comment and blessed you. You can't pick how people respond on an open forum but you can pick how you respond.

You inspire me to do better! My husband keeps giving me a pass by telling me my age (61) is the reason I have trouble loosing weight. I told him I’m pretty sure it’s Jimmy The Baker cinnamon rolls😂 thank you for sharing your story and letting me know I can make a change!!

@RaisedOnQVC You are too cute with the cinnamon rolls...yup, unfortunately, they don't help☹️

Funny how people sabotage their own threads. 🤦🏼‍♀️

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Kudos on maintaining the weight loss.  That is very hard to as there are so many temptations.

However, I believe that this is the second time the issue with body image has been mentioned here in the forums.  It might be time to meet with a professional to figure out where those feelings are coming from and work them out.

@qbetzforreal I am working on it. I am going through a difficult time with health issues and these thoughts are hitting me hard.

@I am still oxox  I feel the same as you. My weight has been up and down my whole life. Six years ago my dh and I began walking. Remarkably we began to lose weight. We changed our diet and are still walking. I lost 70 lbs and have kept it off. I'm 72 and am at my healthiest, even though I'm a type 1 diabetic. But I still am very critical of my reflection. I don't know if the old "me" will ever go away. Presently I weight 140, 5'8", size 8. Keep up the good work OP.
