I just wanted to share a good report for Bob Evans Restaurant. I ordered dinner online from Bob Evans (Easter dinner) and it was such an easy process.
I am making an effort to order occasionally to support my local restaurants.
For those who don't have this restaurant in their area, it is a down home southern type of cooking restaurant.
You order online.
I ordered from my laptop. You go to their website directly. We paid online.
You select date and time. I ordered on Friday for Sunday delivery.
You don't need to have an uber or door dash account.
Bob Evans has a door dash acocunt.
It was an easy process
The food was packaged well, I even ordered soup and nothing spilled.
The delivery man came exactly at around 1:50 pm
He knocks on the door and hands you the bag. No issues and if you want to give a tip all those actions are done online.
OLIVE GARDEN
Hubby also ordered from Olive Garden. You get one meal free.
This was also done online on a laptop. They did not have delivery via the laptop so hubby picked up at the restaurant. We also paid online.
You get a confirmation.
Online they site asks for the - date and time and the color of your car.
You park at the entrance, the person comes out and asks your name.
He brings out the food with all the forks/etc.
Perfect packaging.
Oh I forgot
We also did IHOP.
Now we did this on my ipone.
I used Ubereats.
I ordered the foold and everything also arrived perfectly.
It took about 1 1/2 hours,
I think you can order on a lapttop but I have not done that yet. If you can order on a laptop that means the restaurant has their own delivery agreement with door dash or uber eats.
Well just an idea to encourage you to order.

Many restaurants in my area are doing the same. I wish I could support them but I don't know who is preparing and packaging my food so I won't order.

Oh, that is a valid point.

We also have been ordering from Cracker Barrel, Bertucci's and Panera. All were easy, quick and very good. And we will be ordering from all three again.
We picked all of our orders up and all the restaurants have the routine down to a science.

@Happiness Is Inside JOB ...... Bob Evans has been using Door Dash for quite a while. Door Dash is not charging any delivery fees until further notice on any of their deliveries. Door Dash has a number of restaurants and those interested might want to check out their website. I have been using them for over a year now. I place my order from the restaurant and have them leave my order at my front door.

We've been trying to visit the smaller mom and pop type restaurants in our area. Some have been in business for almost 40 years. It would be a shame if they closed because of this shutdown. Truthfully even in normal times we rarely go to chain restaurants, but to the local independents.

OH
I wish I had a Cracker Barrel near me. The nearest one is over one hour away and that is a long drive for me right now.
