Hi everyone,
The surprise birthday party for our daughter was a complete success. Went to the hotel with my husband, sister and brother in-law to decorate and we had a lot of fun decorating. The florist delivered the balloons for the tables and the one at our daughters table had the same balloons along with a beautiful flower arrangement at the base of the balloons. I had a lot of fun decorating the room.
We had over 40 guests at the party and only a few could not make it. Our daughter and her boyfriend came with my husband and myself and everything went well. She was totally surprised!!! The food was delicious and I was ok with getting off my Crohns diet! I was told that with the new infusions I would eventually be able to eat most everything but I am starting to gain weight and so I generally stick to the Fod Map diet that I was given. I even ate a small piece of cake.....heck what's a few more pounds...lol.
Today all we did was hang around and watch TV. We both were physically and mentally exhausted.

Thank you for the name of the bird I asked you about. I showed it to my husband and he too liked seeing it. Have never seen anything like it.
We finally had a male and a female cardinal arrive yesterday and today at the feeders. They seem to like the Cardinals Choice seed. Had about 8 to 10 blue birds around most of the day and both yesterday and today we had 2 check out the blue bird houses that we put up last year. Fingers crossed that they select one to nest in this year!
Had 2 red winged blackbirds here today and they ate the worms in the bluebird feeder. Our daughter told us that they will over take the feeder and chase away the bluebirds. I guess time will tell.

Glad to hear that your new mattress arrived and that you got it assembled so easily. I hope you enjoy it and get many years of good use out of it. We need to start looking into a mattress soon.

I do remember the nuns wearing the long dresses and the long habits and no hair showing. When our daughter went to school they were wearing the short habits with a little hair showing and no pinched faces. When I was a kid I was led to believe that the nuns shaved their heads under the habits....lol.
Can't believe that March is already here! Once again we have set records for having a warm winter. It would change from day to day. Last night it was 12 when we left the party. Today we are to be in the 50's. Maple syrup making is very early this year. It takes cold nights and warm days to start producing it. That is exactly what we have been having.
