Luvsbulldogs,   The little fawn you have is a Piebald deer.   They are normal deer with the white patches on their skin, and are about 1 in 1,000.   Some  are rejected by their mothers.  They are not albino deer which would be totally white and have pink eyes and nose and pinkish hooves.   Piebalds have brown eyes.   It's kind of a genetic defect that causes the white patches to occur, but they do grow up are hunted as other deer.   They may have a harder time hiding as the amount of white is hard to camouflage.

I finally got some pics of the baby turkeys.  They are on our front lawn.  Not much of a lawn because of a bad drought that we are having but the turkeys seem to be enjoying it.  I hope that you can see them....they are pretty close to the stone wall.

I also included a pic of a deer and it's baby.  It still has its spots.  This one seems a little larger than the other ones that come here.

Thank you so much for the great pics and the info on the deer.  I think the one that comes here is a piebald as you spoke about.  How interesting.  I hope to get some more pics and also hope that it still keeps coming here so that we can see it as it grows up.  Thanks again possummink.

Ahhh, look at the piggies - love those critters. As a kid I lived in Cary, NC and one of my neighbors had pigs - the Grand Master was huge and could be quite mean however. Am trying to remember his name but cannot, will probably think of it after I sign off - I can see and hear that critter. Actually most of my neighbors raised some type of critter - we were way out in the country. We did chickens so we could sell eggs. It was also great tobacco country. Heaven forbid but we kids helped with that too - what can I say?

Birds still scarce and quiet - yesterday, however, had a ton of doves visit me - they were around looking for something to eat - they are too big to sit on the feeders and eat calmly. LOL.

Our neighbor recently bought a 55+ home in Cary, NC.  They love it so far.  It sounds like a nice area. 

We are finally getting a little rain today....not enough but every little bit helps.

Have seen a lot of robins so far today.  Also a lot of crows.  Hummers are coming to the feeder often today.  Thank goodness they are finally coming but as I mentioned before we have a female bully.

Yesterday was my 7th anniversary with Grayson.  I don't know when he was born so I celebrate the day he found me and joined the family.  I can't believe it's been 7 years already.
