We lived in the Houston area for 22 years. Some of the nicest people ever!

OMGosh.......what wonderful, helpful people.
I was in a dress shop and asked for directions to another shop or store. One of the sales girls who wasn't busy at the time walked with me a couple of blocks and brought me to that place of business.
Now that's genuine and helpful service.
I used to work in customer service for Home Depot water heater service. We got calls from every state, the very nicest people were Texans. The meanest...New York. Home Depot doesn't have that service anymore.
Yep, we were living in NJ, just a few miles from NY.
And it was brutal the last 5 years.
The South feels like a totally different country to me, a cross between Gone With The Wind and Smokey And The Bandit, happily!
