Will never understand why that is so important to some people.
"We are Friends! If I need to ask about your cat, put it in Pet Lovers; if I want a recipe from you, put it in Recipes; if I want to know what kind of knife you use to cut squash, that goes in Kitchen! Oh, you weren't feeling well yesterday. If I ask how you are doing today, that goes in Wellness!
Hope you read all the available threads or you will never see my posts!
I feel the need to respond. There are many ways to connect or find each other. If we want to find a poster's threads, we can click on their name on any thread and go to their profile.
It's easy to locate a poster, also, using the community search bar, changing "Community" to "Users," and then find the person and their posts that way.
If we want to leave an alert/notification for a poster, we can use the "@+nickname" feature and they'll see it when they login next.
There's a reason forums are divided up into subject-matter categories, and as @KingstonsMom said we need to try for some kind of consistency. We also need to try and be considerate toward others -- constantly adding off-topic threads to an area not meant for those isn't respectful or considerate, particularly when previous threads were moved or removed for being in the wrong sub-forum.
(Related to this: please think of all the threads we see complaining about the lack of common courtesy in "today's world," yet some of those who complain the most loudly also think we don't have to have a thoughtful, courteous approach to posting here.)
If some posters are free to post any topics in any sub-forums regardless of the actual type of sub-forum it is, that means all posters can. That would make the place a mess, a jumble of topics all over the place. A chat board can't be managed that way. Frankly, the QVC Social Team exhibited patience and restraint compared to most moderated forums -- often, on other forums, a poster will be warned for a couple of off-topic threads and then banned permanently if they persist.
This has been discussed so many times... either we have categories and we observe the policies to which we agreed by doing our best to place threads in sub-forums most closely matching the subject matter, or there are no categories and we have just one long page of all threads on all topics.
I feel it's wrong to expect special privileges here, for any of us. Although I don't always understand decisions made by the moderators I also realize I don't know everything they're tasked to do. I do have experience helping to moderate a couple of large, international forums and I can tell you it looks very, very different from that "side of the screen." I wish everyone could have that experience -- I think it would help in so many respects, including how a forum is organized and managed.
I'm sorry, I didn't see the post by @forrestwolf that you reference. I did participate in a few here in "Among Friends" about how she was doing, and also I saw several in "Pet Lovers" when she was having problems posting images. I always saw her in various sub-forums, not just one. She's someone I like and admire, and I miss her.
I think some of the frustration about the forums not being "interesting" might come from not looking at a variety of sub-forums, isolating ourselves in one area. There are so many really interesting, thoughtful, bright, witty, and kind posters here❤️. By limiting ourselves to only certain categories of forums (or trying to force all of our threads into one area) we miss out on having the opportunity to meet and get to know many of them.🌻

I don't think this was done intentionally, but please don't blame the mods for Boop's repeated disregard for doing the right thing. Over and over again they have moved her posts to an appropriate form. They even informed those who clicked on the thread where they could find it which was more than kind. If the posts are now being removed it's likely because they are finally losing their patience with her which is understandable. The mods should be thanked for trying to help her rather than be blamed for doing what the poster should have been doing all along.
Very eloquent, thoughtful, and accurate, @SusieQ_2. I agree completely.

eta: If you do a search for her name Boop, she doesn't show up. Did she leave or get permantly banned?
@Her nic is @flbettyboop, maybe she'll see this!
The Mods need to be more consistent about 'moving threads', there are lots of threads posted in the 'wrong' category now, according to QVC's Standards.
I've also noticed that certain Mods move threads more than others.
Consistency is key......
The mods did this to Forrestwolf. She always posted in Kitchen and Recipes and when she wrote and "explanation" of why she had not posted recently, so her friends would see it, the Mods removed it because it was in the wrong forum.

@forrestwolf and I live close to each other and quickly became friends!
As I said, I just think the standards should apply across the board and they obviously don't.
I'm not talking about exchanging pleasantries, etc, within a thread, I'm saying when the thread subject in general is in the completely wrong forum according to 'Standards' some threads are moved, while some are not.
Like ' The Legend of Billy Jean' said, "Fair is Fair"......

I understand your point but I think we all know this is an entirely different situation. I guess I could have missed it, but I have yet to see a poster who posts a daily cartoon in the wrong forum, has been asked to stop repeatedly not only by fellow posters but by moderators as well, yet continues to do it over and over again.
As for threads being in the wrong forum, the mods don't read each and every thread and comment. Generally speaking, mods react to things that are reported. If you see a thread in a forum where it clearly doesn't belong and that bothers you, you can alert the mods to let them know. It won't happen on its own. If you want something to change then you will have to take some action. It the powers that be agree with you they will move it to its proper home.

Some have been reported, but were not moved to the proper forum according to the subject matter.
Please tell me why the "menstrual cup" thread should not be in the 'Wellness' forum instead of Community Chat, since it's about a medical issue?

@KingstonsMomMenses is a normal human function. ETA: Granted, it could fit in Wellness but isn't necessarily out of place in CC. It's one of those things that depends on how you view it, I suppose.

Of course it is, that's why it belongs in the Wellness forum, among the other threads about "human function", IMO.

With something as arbitrary as to where you think threads should be located you can't argue their equity without knowing, and presenting, all the facts. Let's take a look at your current question by putting the two examples side by side.
One person posted a thread, daily, in the wrong forum. She was asked to stop and was given a choice of two alternative forums where her threads would be welcome. She ignored that, continued on, and her posts were moved. Not only were they moved, but information was provided as to where those threads were moved and could be found. Yet, over and over the request by the mods was ignored and now those threads are being removed.
The other poster, who also posts here regularly, put a post where she believes it belongs. A place I might add is one of those suggested to the first poster as well, most likely because Community Chat is a forum where a mixture of many diverse topics are discussed. Now, let's say the second poster's thread had been moved and she posted another exactly like it again the next day. Now let's say there was some discussion where she was asked by posters, and moderators alike, to stop posting her thread there yet she continued on like that for an extended period (no pun intended) of time. I dare say she might possibly see her threads removed as well. In fact, I'd put a hefty wager on it.
As for the thread in CC I'd say it remains there because your opinion of what should be moved, or what is not already in its proper forum, is not the same as the mod's opinion. Your question reminds me of that saying about seemingly unanswered prayer. I'm not sure of the exact quote but it's something like: "Just because the outcome is not what you asked for doesn't mean He didn't answer."
The fact is, when it comes to the threads on these forums the mods are God so to speak. They are the ones who make the final decision, and contrary to the comments of favoritism, I don't believe for a second the mods favor Billy over Timmy. That is nothing more than what someone says when they didn't get the result they were looking for.
The mods have their reasons for what they do. They owe us no explanation, and until we become one of them, we are at their mercy. Personally, I think they're doing a great job.

@dooBdoo @KingstonsMom @Zhills Thanks for the information. Well that explains some things that make more sense now. I do miss @forrestwolf and I remember her posting in either kitchen or recipes categories mostly and then she was going through troubles and posted about them--guess in the wrong place--and haven't seen any posts from her since.
Used to love her comments and recipes and printed out some that I still have.
Sending her my best.
I used to only be able to read these boards at work because I had no computer at home. Treated myself to a laptop since I retired and that's why I'm able to explore here and contribute a little more.
Before some of the changes here took place I know some of you exchanged e-mail addresses and so were able to establish friendships that resulted in actual contact via non Q forums/boards but I wasn't quick enough to get in on that.
Good night fellow chatters. Time for me to watch the news and then off to dreamland.

@dooBdoo@Why do you always have to make so much sense and be so rational in such a kind and considerate way?Anyhow thank you for the excellent explanation.I love to read your posts.
