Will clip you for an amount you have not authorized.  Then they bombard you with  emails.  Supposedly one of those reputation sites.

@Imaoldhippie    They are on-line "detectives" who will dig up "the dirt" on your boyfriend, neighbors, relatives, co-workers, etc.    They cannot legally get bank, credit card, arrest, employment, etc., records that are NOT public information.   Their "résumés" are a pile of hearsay.

I've been out of computer range.  Fortunately our bank subscribess to a fraud alert service.  If something fishy hits our account, we get a taped phone call immediately asking if the charge for this exact amount is OK or not authorized.  Since I had this charge on a debit card, I had to dump the card, the second time in a few months.  With credit cards the bank will dispute the charge for you.  DH was against credit cards but this is a case where they are warranted.  I called the fraud alert number and got a live person.  She explained that somewhere in my dealings with this "reputation company" some fine print I had not even noticed allowed them to charge me whatever they felt like for a certain transaction.  I had ok'd 1.99, they hit my account for 44.85.  I've had nothing like this happen since I owned a computer, now two instances within months.  I have to be more careful, these scammers are getting smarter.

Pardon me, but if you're authorizing any amount to people like this, it's not a situation where they are deceiving you on anything other than the amount.

If you are at a dirt-digging site trying to get info on someone, then you should absolutely expect the people doing such a thing to be quite scammy.

That site is full of erroneous information.  Not to be trusted.
