@monicakm

Are you OK?    The terrible East TX storms are all over the news...and I'm worried you are in the middle of things.    Hope you are well and in a safe place.   di

@Desertdi.  She isn't in the affected area.  She's North and East of Dallas.

I believe she's somewhere near Tyler....which was in the projected path as of some time this morning.

Storms scare me, and I have been in at least "one of everything":  two 6-point+ earthquakes, several tornadoes, floods, ice storms, a couple blizzards,  and got out of Myrtle Beach just ahead of a hurricane....    di

@Desertdi.  Tyler is nowhere near the flooded area.  It's a 1 1/2 hrs drive North of Houston and East of Dallas.  The flooding in the the South of Texas.

Thanks for your concern @Desertdi. The flooding is in the Hill Country which is Central Texas. Austin, Texas State Capitol, has been hit hard. We are in the northeast corner of Texas about 60 miles due east of Dallas. We watched some of the news coverage about the flood on YouTube this evening. It's devastating 😭

It's a big state. I am about an hour north of Tyler. Tyler and my town are both in Northeast Texas. Austin is in Central Texas. Dallas is in North Central Texas and I am about 60 miles due east of Dallas. I just looked at the forecast for Austin and the rain is not over. My husband has family just south of Austin and may very well be affected by the storm.

Texas was part of "my territory"  when I worked in corporate finance for a large building products supplier.    I worked out of Los Angeles, but I considered you all

      "my neighbors".

Glad you are  safe and sound.    di

I am 15 minutes from Tyler. Tyler is more like a 3 1/2 hour drive to Houston and an hour to Dallas. We didn't even have a drop of rain.
