Apples and Trees - Generations

My DH is the Tree, and our grandson is the Apple. These photos were taken when DH was probably 20, and my grandson was 18 or 19. They are both the kindest people on the planet. 

 

ETA: Grandson was trying to recreate his grandfather's expression. Smiley Happy

Aren't genetics amazing?  I have one son who is an absolute clone of his dad - people comment all of the time on the amazing resemblance.  Meanwhile son #2 looks as if he not even related to his dad and brother! 

 

We were visiting with a gentleman a few days ago who showed us a picture of his great, great grandfather.  He looked EXACTLY like the great great grandson that we were speaking to.  So much so that it was almost spooky.
