Re: Anyone fixed a leaking washer?

@Scooby Doo   Maytag front loading washing machines are 'notorious' for leaking.  I've had 2 within the last  11 months (one being a replacement for the first) and  BOTH OF THEM LEAKED !   I was told this last machine leaks because of a defect in the laundry/bleach/softener dispenser and it will be replaced next week.  If that doesn't work, I'm throwing the *** out in the yard and moving on...but it will never be to a Maytag front loading machine again !

The last we fixed our HE machine I SWORE it would be the last time we ever paid to fix an appliance!!  Too much time and money wasted.

I now have a regular top-loading machine with an agitator and I was reminded how nice it was to have clean clothes again!  No more HE for me!

@Abrowneyegirl   Amen! What brand do you have now?

Whirlpool.  Extra-large capacity.

No experience with that but I've noticed my manuel, or leaflet really address that problem.

Re: Anyone fixed a leaking washer?

My husband put in a new pump in our very old Kenmore washer a few

months ago. Bought a replacement from Ebay for about $10 and that

is all it took. The hardest part was waiting 3 or 4 days for it to arrive.

Good luck with yours @Scooby Doo
