Re: Another day, another scam

@ECBG   Funny you mentioned it.  I just told DH yesterday that I must be the luckiest person on the planet.  Everyday I get multiple emails of things that I have won.  I could restock Home Depot with my "gifts "!

Who actually falls for these emails?

Re: Another day, another scam

Stupid scammers think people are as stupid as they are!

But there is always that super clever one that might just scam even the smartest of us or just taken unaware for a moment.

So it's ok not to trust anything.

Whenever in doubt call the company/ business directly etc.

not the number or email or text that is sent to you.

Don't answer any phone calls unless they leave a message and it is something you know is ok to call back. Even scammers leave a voicemail sometimes.

it's strange, I've been a Prime member for years, get 3 or 4 Amazon+qvc+Walmart orders a week.  I never use text except to my sister, however.  I've never gotten any offers.  Texting may be the secret.

Some of these texts mention items and store names.  I think surfing on the phone may strongly contribute.
