@Luvsmyfam

You have plenty of options.

Beverages?  Dessert?  Vegetables?

So many things go well with ham.  Asparagus, Brussels sprouts, fresh green beans.  All can be steamed quickly before dinner.

Corn pudding can be made in advance.

You mentioned ham sandwiches.  How 'bout a selection of bread, cheese and mustard?

You still have time to come up with something to share with your family.

Your parents will be more than happy to see your gorgeous face and have you within hugging reach.

You're all fortunate to have each other.

AM or PM?

NADA?

???  You didn't say if you get off at 2 AM or PM, but that's hardly a problem.

You can order a nice deli tray and pick it up after work.

Better yet ... order something and have it delivered directly to your folks' home.

Even though you didn't ask, some are making good suggestions of things you could bring ... IF you wanted to.

You have many choices. A dessert from a bakery (or your own baking) that you can leave covered in Lock'N Lock (or something similar) in your car while you work? A bottle of wine or some non-alcoholic beverages? If there is a frig at work (and there often is, these days), can  you make something like a salad or side dish and store it there while you work? And many good suggestions from others. I would not go empty-handed or ask "permission" to do so. And, based on the suggestions here, working until 2:00 p.m.  is not a reasonable cause for NADA. And I hope not cause for a plea for "a pass" or sympathy.

I'm assuming that holiday food was discussed with  @Luvsmyfam's parents and it was a mutual decision that they would provide the holiday menu.

She brought the food to a recent meal. 🤷‍♀️

So today was Monday and yesterday was Sunday.  You made something for your parent's yesterday and took it to them today after work?

At your parent's today you 'talked about Christmas Eve and what I'll be bringing for food'....I work till 2, so my dish will be NADA'.

So I guess you told them that you're not bringing anything Christmas Eve, you brought them something today.  And that's it.  I guess everything is fine?

Enjoy your Christmas Eve dinner at your parents!
