Darn it all. It's been an expensive 5 weeks. I'm just shaking my head and laughing at my luck this spring.

Week 1: Furnace and air conditioner quit working and had to be replaced.

Week 2: Water heater quit working and had to be replaced

Week 3: Went to get a prescription. My dog was startled during a turn and bumped my arm with his paws. I hit a curb, blew out a tire, and ruined the alignment. Yes, he was harnessed to the front seat and can't come over on my side but his paws obviously can reach my right arm. Harness adjusted.

Week 4: Had a tumor on the inside of my mouth at the upper jaw line removed. Not malignant, yea!  Dental insurance only paid 20% of it. Medical paid none.

Week 5: Have to have more oral surgery today. Dental insurance will cover 25-40%.

I am thankful I have at least some dental coverage through my retiree benefits.

I'm supposed to go to prayer group after today's surgery. I said I'd be there if pain was ok and I wasn't drooling. LOL.

@CalminHeart   I'm so sorry!  You have had a tough few years.  So happy to hear that the tumor is not malignant.  Prayers for you.

@CalminHeart

Good grief!   Your "planets really collided"...    You are one STRONG woman to get thru that all at once.

Hope you are feeling better soon...and you are showered with blessings in the future.     di

Yikes. I had the same thing go wrong with water heater, furnace and AC right at Christmas a few years ago, but nothing else. But right after car and home owners insurance due. I'm glad your tumor was not malignant. Anyhow, hoping things get better for you. Take care, @CalminHeart .

@CalminHeart Poor baby!  What a hard time!  Be good to yourself, rest enough and eat well, and tell that prayer group to kick in for you!  I know that will help!  Add me to the prayer group for you!  Heart

Omg ... that sounds like a very frustrating five weeks that you had to deal with @CalminHeart. I would be having a "melt down."

I hope your next five weeks are more calming and positive for you.

@CalminHeart   These last 5 wks. do seem overwhelming. I hope you can make it to prayer group. That will be something positive and no cost to you, right? Pray that will be the end of exensives for you.

Much luck at the dentist. Heart

It is bad enough when things happen and break down all at once but then trying to find help is what I get frustrated with. Living in a small town things get done whenever. Even connecting  to a service. An oral surgeon would be a two hour drive one way in fact.

Hope @CalminHeart your prayer group gives you support. Now with so many replaced major items things should be good for a long time. A good outcome.

@CalminHeart   I thought my past two weeks were bad financially, but you're in the same running neck to neck.

First, we needed new batteries for the golf cart...cost $$$, then I ordered new covers for the dinette in one of out RV's that were ripped in a few places...cost $$$$.

Then our refrigerator started to drip water inside and it frozen on the bottom.  This is not the first time and it has been repaired numerous times.  We took everything out, removed the inside back panel and removed sheets and blocks of ice.  We need to get a new fridge.

On the same day as the fridge mishap, our hot water wasn't working.  My husband reset it so that it works for a few days, then stops working again.  We need a new hot water heater.

This month has been expensive...and it's not over yet.
