They use logistics to figure out the cheapest way to get a package to its destination...thus the different ways packages come

Some times the logic of their logistics makes no sense to me! LOL
when a package drives right by my city....goes 4 hrs further...then it turns around and comes back...skips me again and goes to the next large city 2 hrs away...then comes to me!
I don't get how this says anyone money having my purchase handled MANY times more than it needed to be.
I don't live in a small town!
This isn't just once or twice, but quite often!

I'm in NC. We have an amazon warehouse next to the airport (sure was a big surprise since I am rarely around that area!).
I see their trucks daily on the road. Probably for what they have "in stock".

I live rural. We don't have anything delivered by an Amazon driver! Only UPS, USPS or Fed Ex.

Pretty sure there are zero Amazon delivery vehicles/drivers in my area. I've never seen ONE.
All mine are USPS or UPS.

I don't even see too many of their trucks on the road. Could it be the high gas prices that had them switch back to other delivery services?
I am still getting one or two day deliveries even with UPS and USPS...
Anyone one else?
I experienced the same and don't like that change. USPS deliveries are terrible here. I recently ordered furnace filters and they were shipped USPS. They claimed they tried to deliver but the truth was that the box was too big for the rural carrier and we had to drive 50 miles to pick up the box at the post office. Needless to say I was not happy. When we do get USPS deliveries they leave the stuff by the mail box which is a distance from the house while UPS and Fed Ex put it in front of my door.

My orders either arrive by USPS or UPS. Imo, the "ships by Amazon" means it is in the Amazon warehouse and not shipped by the seller.

"Ships from Amazon" doesn't mean "delivered by Amazon." It just means that Amazon ships it from one of their warehouses instead of it being from an independent seller. My deliveries are a mixture of Amazon, UPS and sometimes USPS.
