I get 3-4 deliveries from Amazon every week.  So obviously, I'm a fan (and a prime member).  Not everything is perfect...I let them know when something isn't right and they make it right.

Am now branching out and buying some clothing....some of the athletic wear is similar to whats offered by Athleta...and of course, much less expensive.

We are on auto delivery for my bird seed and cat food. Always think of something I need and just order. Deliveries all the time. Do not buy from third party buyers. We receive prompt deliveries so far and no problems. Knock on wood.

A third party was taking way too long to process a refund once so I called Amazon.  I had the refund the next morning.

@Apple Crispwrote:

I am shopping more and more with Amazon. I find their customer service can’t be beat. I am a Prime member and I mostly stick with Prime purchases. I have used the occasional third party and if something went wrong and the vendor wouldn't reply, Amazon made it right immediately.

Same with me.  Just yesterday I ordered two CDs.  Amazon made a mistake sent it to another state, and turned it around to back to the warehouse.  I saw this when i looked at my orders.  I contacted Amazon.  They apologized and promptly sent the CDs(it was there the next day)

Amazon is wonderful about refunds & returns. I've even received a damaged item & was refunded without returning the item. THAT is customer service!!

I accidently ordered a set of full size sheets instead of queen.    They promptly sent me the queen with instructions to keep the full.  I donated them.

@Bridgegal Wow, now that really IS good CS!! I like using Amazon for checking reviews on lots of items, even if I order from somewhere else.

While I love Amazon as much as others, I do feel badly for all the stores that have closed because they can’t compete. I heard that hundreds more Toys R Us are the next victims.

When Barnes & Noble stores opened across the country, our local small bookstores closed. I miss sitting on the old torn velvet sofa there, petting their large fluffy cat while reading for an hour or two. It was truly relaxing and welcoming.

I LOVE Amazon, haven't been a member for very long, but I receive my orders in just a couple of days & they do have great customer service! OTOH, I miss the Mom & Pops stores very much, you know the kind where you knew the owners & it was so personable, those were what I consider the 'good old days'! Heart

      My Great GF started our family business. Grandfather took over 1930's back then was surplus army store. Business very successful upstate New York.

Then in 1950's Mother became involved transforming the company even more.   Reminded of our live radio shows. Dennis Weaver guest star. So many people came to see him and win the prize. Point is, Thriving business. What happened you ask? Simply said, Malls changed everything. The rest is history. What goes around comes around. Fifty yrs later@ Malls are hurting. It is what is.
