Good evening friends!  I want to thank all of you so very much for lovingly caring about Jr and me.  

Jr had a pretty good day today.  He was more active and went outside a lot more.  The cough seems the same as yesterday.  He is eating and drinking and I've been successful at getting his medication inside him.  Hiding it in soft dog food, a little nibble at the end of a plastic spoon.  I'm so hoping that the cough will keep backing off.  

May have forgotten to tell you yesterday, the Vet said that his lungs sounded good and no temperature.  I was very happy to hear that.  

I hope that as his medication gets in his system good, that he will do much better.  I thank all of you for your prayers, love and support.  I'm going now to give him some soft pats and one nose boop!   Nothing but Love dear friends!

Thanks for a great report on Junior's visit with his new vet.  His treatment plan and medication protocol appears to be a proactive action by the vet who it appears has a lot of experience in his profession.  Give it a few days (or weeks) to kick in and I hope you will see a huge change in his skin condition and in the cough.  I'm glad his lungs sound good; that's a great sign.

If you google "Thyroid conditions in dogs" you will note a number of comments on how the thyroid can affect skin conditions.  Perhaps his vet's decision to add thyroid medication to Junior's treatment plan is what you've been waiting and hoping for all along.

Meanwhile give him lots of love and soft hugs as he continues to heal and feel so much better.    Prayers and love coming from Ed and me too.  Take care and get some rest ... both of you.  I hope the cough is already much better today than yesterday.  

P.S.:  I think your new vet is a God-send for Junior!

How's everyone doing today?

The cold still continues here but it is suppose to reach 5 today.  The wind chill will remain in the teens below zero.  The only thing on my agenda for today is laundry and am putting Swiss Chicken in the slow cooker.
