9/11 - Todd Beamers wife Lisa Beamer?

Has anyone heard of any updates on Lisa Beamer? She was so much in the front of the news on the days after 9/11. I remember she had two young sons, and I guess they are in college now. She has dropped off the radar. Someone said she got remarried, but there is no information on her anymore.

Never saw her again after her book. When she was in the spotlight I always thought of his parents, who will never get over his loss. A person can get a new spouse but you cannot replace your child.

I haven't read them, but some are dated 2016.

I had some pretty negative reactions to the way some of the 9/11 widows were treated at the time, and although I have thought of them, haven't pursued any follow ups.

I hope anyone who was touched by the horror of that day has found some sort of peace.

I will never forget what happened to Deena Burnett. We were living in the same town when her husband was killed on flight 93. The town even named a road after him. She was being interviewed by the local news when she told about what happened when she refused to be on Oprah again. Oprah went ahead and used her on her show by splicing into someone else's interview of Deena, but making it look like her own interview.

She complained to Oprah and she said she was sorry and sent her a bouquet of Gerber Daisys. I never watched Oprah again after that. I also saw Deena a few weeks after 911 at Ross and she was trying to return some dresses at customer service and the cashier was giving her a hard time. I just wanted to step in and tell the cashier who she was, but decided to keep out of it.

I wonder if this lady wouldn't just prefer to have her privacy back. She is entitled to that. I understand curiosity, however, but I think that her privacy and that of her family should be respected unless SHE comes out, back into the public's eye.
