I totally get it, I have had Comcast XF in my home for 40 years and many, many unlimited and long, very frustrating chats.

@LizzieInSRQ Great job getting that Xfinity/Comcast monkey off your back and out of your wallet. Amazon Firestick makes things easy for me too. Take care.

I had Frontier internet installed andsigndd up for YouTubeTv. I am using 3 Amazkn Firesticks to connect the internet to my 3 tvs. Its a little tedious signjng each tv up to the apps but knce you do it its done. My monthy bill is going to be $129 for a year and tgen $139. My Comcast was $247.
Ive been playing with it this afternoon. Its different but i will learn how to navigate. One really amazing thing is that I researched YouTubeTv quite a bit, Im still getting more channels tban i thought. I just have to take time to download some things. Like i get orginal QVC but i just downloaded an app called QVC+/HSN+...not sure i understand why i had to just choose it and it downloaded and voila...i am getting Q1,Q2, Q3 and HSN1 & HSN2 all free. I need to learn what is "on YouTube Tv" and what can be available may be availabe via Amazon Orime maybe?
All i kmow is Xfinity didnt ask why when i brought equipment back today. I wasnt going to complain to the clerk anyway, its not their fault. There were three others in ljne doung the same.
Xfinity's rate hike in January, again, coupled with how well streaming servuces are now, it is no wonder. I do wonder what they are going to do. Hopefully adapt like telephine companies going from landline to cell phones.

I feel your pain. I went into the store for two days and finally got the bill down 20.00. They are always trying to sell something and don't listen to you answer. I questioned things on my bill and got some taken off.
The taxes are what gets you here in Cal.
I have limited basic with the entertainment added on for extra channels for 17.00. Doesn't make sense. I don't watch TV that much so don't need all the extras. My bill now 147.00. Still too much, but I'm tired talking to them and getting stupid answers or no correct answer.
I get a paper bill because, I don't understand the online bill. Their vertical asst. is useless to me. They have gotten too big. It's young kids working at my xfinity in town and they talk fast and throw everything in and don't listen.
I asked them to pull up my new bill onlike there and she said she can't. I said, what do you mean you can't. I can from home and you just sold me the pkg yesterday. Frustrating. I use to know almost everyone of the techs and bosses, because my son is one of the bosses who works from home, but everyone retired. He will retire next year and says he can't wait. He can't help me, not his dept. He's lucky, everything free for him, including his pet Ins. Great salary, but useless to me. He started with them age 18, but it wasn't xfinity back then. They kept selling and getting bigger and bigger. he is now 64, same company all these years. I hope you get help.

I spent almost that same amount of time with FIOS back in October over internet speeds.
After that amount of time and a real person telling me we were going to try something one more time is when I told him I was done, had other things to do and wasn't playing service tech anymore.
He really didn't want to give up and give in and put a repair order in.

During my 3 hour "chat" with Xfinity---I found out that I had DVR service as well as got bumped up to a higher internet speed---800--, both of which I didn't order---have never used DRV ever and don't need more than 400 for internet speed. The speed is based on how many devices you use wi fi for---the more you have/use the better a higher speed is---I use fewer devices so a 400 internet speed is fine for me. -So have been paying for that, for gawd only knows how long----but got those taken off which lowered my monthly bill. And there is an almost $30 broadcast fee that is charged and can't be dropped---WTHeck???Exactly what is this fee for? but I pay monthly for it---that really ticks me off-
--- Also made sure I know how long this promotion was good for--1 year--then it goes up to a slightly higher price for the next year---the things you find out when you read the small print or talk to a real person ------
