3 hours on chat with Xfinity---

That's how I spent  most of my morning today---well part of it was chatting with an AI character named Oliver---I got a notice from Xfinity today,  about March's bill---it had gone up $58 so I "chatted" about it to Oliver to find out WHY---"Oliver" got my bill down a whopping $11-- still $47 more and tried to keep pushing a new android phone/service  to get that $11 less!!!  Why  I think it was AI--by the weird way it wrote and would not address my questions--and just a feeling I had----Was going to just go to the store and talk to real people but decided to try again and did get a real person who got my bill down to even less than I normally pay. Turns out, my bill had all sorts of extras added without my consent!! You know---maybe getting a monthly bill in the mail is the way to go. I could not for the life of me, find how to look at my actual bill online. Good grief!!!

My recent Xfinity chat guy was human but not located in the US.

@wagirl, assuming you have voice control, say My Account and an option to see your bill should come up.

Re: 3 hours on chat with Xfinity---

I spoke to someone in person at the store 2 days ago and could not get my bill reduced even though I've been a customer with them  for almost 24 years.

Yesterday I installed a new modem/phone device and spent a couple of hours dealing with Xfinity.  They had to provision the modem then the phone wouldn't work.  This guy kept me on the phone for an hour on hold.  When I complained about the hold he just said Oh, sorry, was disconnected.  Hung up, called another number and reached a woman that knew what she was doing.  She fixed the problem in 10 minutes.  Then I complained to her about the other guy and she got me a $30 credit for my bill.

A few days ago my other modem wasn't working and I called the 1-800 # and got some jerk who insisted that I buy an insurance pkg for $100 that would cover my service calls.  He would not transfer me to an agent, kept pushing this plan.  So I hung up and called another # and got someone to help me.  I've found out that you just have to keep calling different #'s until you find the right person.

Re: 3 hours on chat with Xfinity---

I disconnected Xfinity/Comast service today. Ive never not had cable before. Im sick of their fees and taxes and updates during my shows.3 hour chat with them That RIDICULOUS.

I had Frontier internet installed andsigndd up for YouTubeTv. I am using 3 Amazkn Firesticks to connect the internet to my 3 tvs. Its a little tedious signjng each tv up to the apps but knce you do it its done. My monthy bill is going to be $129 for a year and tgen $139. My Comcast was $247.

Ive been playing with it this afternoon. Its different but i will learn how to navigate. One really amazing thing is that I researched YouTubeTv quite a bit, Im still getting more channels tban i thought. I just have to take time to download some things. Like i get orginal QVC but i just downloaded an app called QVC+/HSN+...not sure i understand why i had to just choose it and it downloaded and voila...i am getting Q1,Q2, Q3 and HSN1 & HSN2 all free. I need to learn what is "on YouTube Tv" and what can be available  may be availabe via Amazon Orime maybe?

All i kmow is Xfinity didnt ask why when i brought equipment back today. I wasnt going to complain to the clerk anyway, its not their fault. There were three others in ljne doung the same.

Xfinity's rate hike in January, again, coupled with how well streaming servuces are now, it is no wonder. I do wonder what they are going to do. Hopefully adapt like telephine companies going from landline to cell phones.

Sounds like the painful interactions I have with AT&T.

Everybody hates Xfinity that I know of. It's always hours on the phone and no results. My bill is enormous and no other server in my area. I had at one time had Howard Stern added to my bill for over a year. I raised cain and got a refund. Have your bills mailed to you and check them monthly. also you'tt be lucky if you can understand who your talking too.

Re: 3 hours on chat with Xfinity---

@LizzieInSRQ --good for you!! Have heard of doing that. My bill now--after my 3 hours of chat --is $158 a month--down from $216 that is was , yesterday. So I am ok with that for this year. I live in an apartment and am thinking of moving this year so will not go thru what you did yet. Had a friend who got rid of her cable and went to You Tube TV---
