And terrified and afraid will do what positive for you? Who says you will be sick? I'll say you won't be sick, we've both got a 50/50 chance of being right.
I've got news for you, "you are already old". Anyone your age that looks to the future the way you are doing? They are and were "old before their time".
As far as I know, there is only 1 thing that keeps us from getting old. I chose decades ago to look at life with optimism, but I still have gotten older and have been seriously sick many times. Would being afraid and terrified have kept me from getting older and sick? I think not.
We all can choose how we live getting older, sick or not sick. I choose to live 1 day at a time and enjoy each day as much as possible, not worry about what the next day/week/month or year MIGHT hold for me.
Nothing I can do about my chronological age, but it is endless how many good/fun and happy things I chose for my Mental and Physiological age, and that is exactly what I am doing. Age? I am more than 12 years older than you.
Try my way, you might just like it.

Yes, I am well aware that I am aready "old" . Mentally, I don't think that way. After reading how much pain and suffering you and your wife have gone through, it's scary. Not to mention, almost all the people I know my age and older have health issues and are on meds.

... I made it all the way to # 6 before I dozed off. It reads like a 1964 Readers Digest article.

There is a lot in these 'rules' to disagree with because, in my opinion, there were a lot of very selfish comments, a lack of knowledge about Bible teachings, and a lack of understanding of the aging process.

It is a little scary getting older, especially if you have friends struggling with health issues....but any day on this side of the dirt...is a GOOD DAY....

What does the Bible have to do with this topic? and what is selfish here?
I think there are some good points
