I've done this since I was a teenager, long before WEN entered my picture.
I use a spray bottle with water to get my hair damp. That can cause frizz on its own, so I usually follow up the water with a replenishing mist, either Ouidad's Botanical Boost or WEN Replenishing Treatment Mist. I use water first because it lets me get my hair wetter without wasting product or adding to much of anything that might weigh my hair down. You can also use a DIY WEN Replenishing Treatment Mist for this. (It's made with a WEN Cleansing Conditioner, WEN Styling Cream, and a WEN oil. You can Google a recipe.)
I wet my hair and scrunch the waves and curls back in. If needed, I add a small amount of my regular styling product, Curl Keeper, by Curly Hair Solutions. That helps keep frizzies at bay and helps further define my waves and curls.

My hair is fine and kind of long (mid shoulder blade in back). On the Second Day, I need a little oomph at the roots so I use either a dry shampoo or root lifting powder. Ordinarily I would spray the dry shampoo on the morning of the Second Day, but the other night I tried an experiment and sprayed it on before I went to bed and I woke up with really good looking hair with plenty of lift, ready for restyling with my hot rollers. When I sprayed the dry shampoo on, I just sort of f*luffed it through with my fingers - no combing or brushing. It worked great and will be my method from now on unless I'm doing an overnight oil treatment.

99% of the time I don't rewet my hair, but it's winter and my hair takes at least 4 hours to dry naturally and I don't like blow drying except on rare occasions. In summer I'm somewhat more likely to get my hair wet when I shower between cleanings just because it's so hot and feels great to have the cold water on my head and my hair dries a lot faster in the summer heat.
If I rewet my hair I may or may not reapply styling products depending on the look I'm planning.

JLF- Might I ask which brand of dry shampoo you like?
I only need to use a little dry shampoo to relift my bang area up. I used to use Ojon and loved it...except every can quit 3/4 full!
Right now I am trying Oscar Blandi...and it is okay. Would love to know what you prefer?
I do not need to re-add any other styling products. I use the bun-scrunchy method at night. I do not need to re-cleanse or re-curl until about day 3! Love this longer time frame WEN gives me since I hate doing my hair. I use the Sarah Potempa Beachwaver thing...twisting up at night...these curls last DAYS! I have been air drying....and only use the curling iron every 3 days or so. I have really cut down on the potential damage from heat tools!

Yes, I believe it is a WEN thing...the word shampoo is a No-No! LOL
I should have said "I don't need to wash my hair again..." That would have been clearer!
Thanks Bungo.

I've tried a few.
Batiste - bought it on a sale on the Alpha Hydrox site - I'll use it if I'm staying home, in order to use it up, but it's way too white and powdery, IMO, if I'm going out in public.
Sexy Hair Concepts - it's OK.
Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo by Not Your Mother's - my favorite. It does the job w/o being too powdery. It runs about $12/can, but it's a pretty big can so it lasts awhile. I like the Not Your Mother's Hairspray, too.
