Leg edema and knee arthritis

I have arthritis in both knees. I am experiencing leg swelling but I am using compression knee highs in compression of 10-16. I don't know if the swelling is coming from the stockings being too tight or the knee arthritis. Can anyone help? thank you.

This symptom of edema and your choice of compression stockings should require an OK from your doctor. This definitely warrants a visit. You do not want blood clots.
