Acupuncture anyone?

My thumb is snapping at the joint and its getting painful. My boss had it and she saw an M.D. who is certified in Acupuncture. She had three sessions and its all gone for over a year . The alternative is an injection into the joint. I'd like to try Acupuncture, its been around for a very long time. Anyone else care to share their experiences?
