Grease Fans - RIP “Patty Simcox”

Susan Buckner, who played the peppy cheerleader Patty Simcox, died May 2.

 

 

 

She started in entertainment after being crowned Miss Washington. That led to her being cast as a dancer on Dean Martin's show.

 

 

 

She was actually being considered for the lead role of Sandy before being cast as Patty. 

 

 

After the movie, she appeared in TV shows and other movies before leaving to raise her two children. Later she returned to theater, teaching it and dance in Florida. 


Grease is a favorite of mine. She was so good in it.

Grease has always been my #1 fave movie.

I saw this yesterday and it just took me back.  When I read her age it was hard to imagine since in my mind she will always be a teenage girl.

Read the obituary and she sounded like a very nice lady.
