I'm really tempted by this bag, however I know there were some negative issues on the first one which says it was made in China. (I'm torn between the black and the ostrich.)

Exactly!!! A person could go to Italy and get the "original" but it won't be for $170. I do have to laugh sometimes, how seriously people take their handbags.... I read a post about the cream snake and a woman was complaining about how many real live snakes and lizards were killed to make these bags. I mean... seriously!!!!! Do they have any concept of how much a real lizard, or snake, or ostrich bag would cost? This handbag is all about a luxury look at an affordable price, and without harm to the natural environment. (Yes, I know there is leather involved, and unless you can say you have absolutely NO leather in your home, please don't go there).

There are probably several different factories in several different countries where the bags are made.

Since it would be impossible to list where each individual bag was made, they just say, "Imported".

Also, the leather can come from one country, the tassel can be made in a second country, the hardware in a third country.

So, instead of listing where each part came from, they just say, "Imported".
