What is going on with Clarks?

I have been a Clarks fan for probably 20 years after my first trip to England where I bought a pair of "Sunbeat" sandals. I have rarely purchased any other brands until last year.

Clarks has been such a disapointment since they seem to have gone very masculine in the styles they are bringing to QVC. Even in shoes that I'll wear with jeans I like something not so dark and heavy looking.

I have had much more luck with another English company called Hotter and I would love to see them come to the Q. The construction is very similiar to Clarks and so far, so is the fit. The main thing is the colors and inventive styles that still bring the comfort and stability. I must admit that the prices hurt more than many Clarks, but maybe the Q could fix that! Does anyone feel Clarks has not been very exciting?
