Need a tote style purse that will put up with my abuse LOL

I invested in a Tignanello bag (Item #A1977) after years of buying and throwing away cheap purses. I love a very clean look, tote style that fits comfortably over my shoulder. LOVED this bag for two years but now the handles are peeled and cracked, it looks like a cheap bag now. I'm heart broken - I thought I invested in a great bag and now I'm embarrassed to carry it.

Is there a purse that I could buy that truly will last years and years? I am hard on my bags but I didn't think a real leather bag would crack at the handles like this one did. The rest of the bag looks okay. I saw presentations on the Dooney All Weather Leather totes that swear they will last forever but I'm hesitant on falling for it again. I don't have multiple purses since I hate switching bags out so I want a bag that will REALLY last!! I'm so sick of throwing out purses! Please help me! LOL
