It's All About the Slides

I'm seeing so many designers doing these simple enough slides. I've seen men wear them as well as women. Some are fairly simple; some have bows but these are far out:

My hubby has a pair made by Nike that he wears at the gym.....

They look like bedroom slippers to me! I wouldn't wear the majority of these out!

When I think about slides, I think about what I call "mules" and they are much more stylish --- to my way of thinking --- than these!!

I have a pair of slippers that are slides, but nothing as froufrou as some of these. I have seen lots of one strap slide sandals in stores, but I can't wear those comfortably. My heel is always slipping to the side or off the sandal. I need a shoe to cover my heel completely or at least have a back strap.
