Birkenstock Soft Footbed vs Regular Footbed Opinions Please

I have several pair of Birkis in the regular footbed and I saw a few styles online (not here.....the selection here lately is awful :-() that have the soft footbed and I'm reluctant to try them.

Which footbed do you prefer and why?
