Do Nothing Cake

[ Edited ]

I got this recipe  in my email this morning. It's from Katie Lee on the Food Network.  All the ingredients go in one bowl .

2 Cups flour

2 cups sugar

2 teasp. Baking soda

1/2 teasp. Salt

1 20oz. Can Pinapple with juice

2 eggs

1 teasp. Vanilla

1 cup toasted walnuts

Combine ingredients and pour into a 9x13 pan
Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 min.

She suggests frosting with cream cheese icing and dusting with coconut.

I thought this sounded relatively easy and perfect for Easter. 🐣🐇🐣🐥

I am assuming the pineapple is the crushed kind since it doesn't specify.

Sounds simple and easy.  Thanks for sharing.

I was thinking the same thing.  Sounds nice and easy though.  My parents love pineapple in cake, I may have to make this for them.

This does sound like it would be good.  I'm kind of thrown by the huge range in cooking time -- 35 to 49 minutes??

At any rate, I think I'll give it a try.  And definitely with the cream cheese frosting!

@Citrine1 , I just edited my post, it should read 35 to 40 min. Thanks for pointing out the error.
