Oops.  I hit the heart button on this by mistake, I meant to hit "reply".

I only discovered the show this year, and I watch it whenever I can, but I was never quite sure about his role.  He seems grumpy and not eager to be there most of the time and doesn't seem to know much about cooking.  I never looked into his background - is he a chef?

I have to say that I was turned off by the website. After each show they mention that all the recipes are available from the website, but it's very expensive. I may be misremembering, but I think it was something like $70 a year to join.  I took the trial offer and canceled before it was over because I can't afford those fees.

In any case, I like the show and I wish him well. I hope it carries on without him.  I think Bridget would be a good replacement host for him.

Someone mentioned MONEY....PBS has always been a CASH COW

To be truthful....the show could use an update

The show has about 4 different names
