Anna's Old-Fashioned Crisp Sugar Cookies

1 C. shortening

1 C butter, softened

1 1/2 c powdered sugar

1 C grandulated sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

4 C flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

Mix all ingredients well in large mixing bowl. Cover and chill in refrigerator over night.

Roll into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and press out with bottom of glass. Sprinkle sugar on top, if desired.

Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
