Finally, thank you for the information, but what a round about ridiculous way of doing things, and most of my posts are missing, they also have the wrong sign up date and number of posts.

I think I saw someone post that they were working on adding the feature.

I don't know this for a fact but I have seen updates on other boards lose the posts of everyone for a certain amount of time.   I think they weren't automatically backed up yet.  Hopefully I'm wrong and the last 2 months can be restored.

debc, thanks for figuring this out and letting all of us know.  I found you in a roundabout way.  I saw this last night but didn't have time to try it, and then this morning couldn't remember which thread.  Then surfk posted on one of my threads, and she couldn't remember either where she read it.  I wanted to thank the original poster, which is you!

I found YOU when dooBdoo posted another thread telling us it was you who gave this tip.  So I went around hek and half of Georgia, but I found you, so thank you so much.  This has been bugging me not being able to find recent posts, and now it's solved!

Re: Search your own posts

[ Edited ]

Thanks debc, I was able to pull up my own recent history now. It looks like QVC did not port over at least a month of posts from June backwards to mid May and then there's another gap missing backwards through the end of April.

Another easy way to find your own recent history is to change the end of the URL, for example your recent history would be:

http://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/message/user-id/106218

where your user id is 106218. You can see your user id easily by mousing over your avatar.

My user id is 35074 so my recent history URL is:

http://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/message/user-id/35074

So people who want to find their recent posts, you can change the end of the URL string and substitute your own user id and then copy and paste it into a new browser window:

{http://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/message/user-id/}

(the above URL by itself will pull up a QVC page that says an unexpected error has occurred, but just ignore that and add your own user ID number to the end of the string after the / mark and do not copy the { and the } marks, those were added so that the URL would post in this message)

After you find your recent posts page, bookmark it on your computer or tablet or phone so you can easily find it again as that looks to be a good workaround until QVC actually fixes their software so you can see your own recent activity easily like it was before the new forum software mess.

No problem.   I think it is great so many people are posting thier 'finds'   This is a pretty extreme update for everyone.  We all can use all the help we can get.

Reading post about how to locate all your old posts and responses. I can't even find the search button------never mind the pulldown tag.

Scroll all the way up to the top of the page.  Just above the posts you will see this:

--------------

search

-------------------

It will say Community, change it to Users and click the red go button.  You will see your name with the number of posts you have.  Click on the number of posts and it takes you to your posts.

Yes, I have figured out to search for a list of my own posts ----- but it's much more complicated and roundabout than the old way, where I just clicked on "My History", right up by my screen name.  No idea why anyone imagined it would be beneficial to change such a basic, convenient way of doing things.

I'd post a frowny emoticon here, but I hate all the emoticons we have now.  :/

@debic

Thanks debc for your informative post. There is another thread started here by IamstillXOX mentioning the same thing and the Admin answered her but left out the very important step that you mentioned in your post here. I edited my response to the admin and went through all the steps to see all of your posts (author or not).
