@bigtraps   That's Alberti's home.  He has done You Tube videos on Christmas decorating from his home.  You can see his dining room from the kitchen, and it's the same dining room as in the videos.  I also don't think he would say he was in his home if he wasn't.

I loved Alberti in the beginning of his career with QVC, and I think he's a lovely man, but his voice has gone into hyper-drive and it makes me crazy!! I feel the urge to send him a tranquilizer.

Why waste all of that food on set...........

Better to have that delicious food at a host's home.  He can happily sample it, and probably can freeze much of it, and/or share it with his family.

Could be the beginning of a new food show format.  I like it.  
And they don't have to waste the food they are pitching.

He would say it's his home for the same reason he says he owns everything he is presenting.  You can't believe most of the things these hosts say.
