SNEAK PEEK Linea Leisure Jacket (all colors)...

I don't love it...none of the colors appeal to me...I don't need another hoodie.  I wish I loved it because the length is perfect *sigh*... maybe the white...

“THE ALABASTER LINEA LEISURE JACKET”

t-shirt16

………………………ALABASTER with BLACK and GUNMETAL….the epitome of CHIC…….Worn with my new BLACK COTTON T, a black slim bottom or my new Alabaster slim pant, coming this spring, and you are set………………….enjoy………………much Love…………………….Louis

“THE CORNFLOWER BLUE LINEA LEISURE JACKET”

t-shirt20

……………….What constitutes a “Leisure” item? It may mean different things to different people. For me it’s more about life style than anything else. Can Leisure clothes be worn for work, and evenings out, or are they strictly for daytime…….running, doing errands or lounging around the house? I think many Leisure pieces bridge that gap, and this jacket is one of those pieces. Does a hood automatically make a garment a “leisure” garment? My answer to that is no, and many hoods can be more decorative then functional…I’ve seen hoods on drapy jersey evening gowns ………….I think this new “Leisure” jacket can fit into any lifestyle………..The style number is A255867…………The color above is…..CORNFLOWER BLUE with WHITE and GOLD ACCENTS. The silhouette of the jacket is slightly A-Line so there is extra hip room. The fabric is a new light weight Ponte Knit in a 74% poly 26% cotton blend…..totally machine washable. This is a substantial fabric, but not heavy. It will keep it’s shape, and will always look neat, and flatter the body…..never sloppy…….The bottom of the jacket is CURVED and is finished beautifully. There is also a 2 inch side slit……..It has a 2 WAY ZIPPER with SIGNATURE ZIPPER PULLS….They are both functional and FASHIONABLE…..I love the options a woman has deciding how she wants the zippers to be placed….The LONG RAGLAN SLEEVES are finished with a 2 1/2 inch banded cuff……The jacket measure approx. 28 inches for the XS…..The label at the back neck is PRINTED….No fabric labels to deal with………….THE COLLAR, which from the front looks very NAUTICAL, is actually a STADIUM HOOD, that zips open to create the “collar”, or closed to create the “hood”. I truly don’t see many women wearing the hood unless they get caught in the rain. So, if I don’t see the hood being used except on those rare occasions why put it on the jacket? My answer is simple…..A STADIUM HOOD is not your typical hood….I like the collar it creates and the graphic design it forms in the back. When the hood is partly zipped as in the photo above, it creates a stand which frames the back neck and allows the hood to lay properly. This is far from your typical hoodie!…..In the past I have used this type of hood/collar on coats as well as jackets…..even cotton shirts ……The jacket is accented with CONTRAST TAPES for the front zipper, the zipper on the hood, the trim on the Kangaroo pockets, and the trim circling the neckline. ………..All of this extra detail plus the GOLD signature zipper pulls [even the hood has the gold signature zipper pull] add up to what you have come to expect from a LINEA garment……It’s ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS that separates Linea from everything else…. If you look at this jacket and think, “I don’t need another leisure jacket”, then you are not looking at all of the possibilities of how it can be worn…..Worn over a white sheath dress changers the character immediately. In the photos above, the WHITE WING COLLAR SHIRT, A259103, returning this spring, adds a POLISHED LOOK……A pair of white jeans or white dress trousers gives you two totally different looks……..Accessorizing is easy……If you have the GOLD Linea Signature pieces, the earring, necklace and charm bracelet, you are set. If not the simple GOLD BAR PENDANT is all you need….but if you are of the belief that more is better….the new BEACH GLASS NECKLACE and earring set will look incredible on the white shirt with the jacket worn open………..If you prefer a more tailored look a simple gold earring is all you need…..but there’s nothing wrong with a little extra something……………….This will be presented on January 21st, on AM Style!……………………………..enjoy………………..much Love………………………….Louis

“THE SPRING GREEN LINEA LEISURE JACKET”

t-shirt19

…………………..SPRING GREEN with NAVY and GOLD accents says “come on Spring, get here already!”…………..Classic….yes, preppy…..sure…..FRESH and clean….you bet. When winter is finally over, and for some it has been too long already, how refreshing will it be to wear a new NAVY LINEA T SHIRT with your favorite jeans, and throw your new Spring Green jacket on and go….No more need for snow boots or scarves or gloves….how liberating. I know Jac and I can’t wait to put all of that STUFF into storage………….We all need a little color in our lives….we can’t nor should we live in a beige, navy, grey, black world. If you do maybe it’s time to step out of that box and try something new. You will be surprised the attention you will get just from looking different….it feels good……………………………………enjoy………………………….much Love…………………………Louis

“THE PARFAIT PINK LINEA LEISURE JACKET”

t-shirt18

………………………………PARFAIT PINK…..NAVY and SILVER……”Pink is the Navy Blue of India”, or so Dianna Vreeland said. Recently I’ve heard it said that it’s the new Camel? This particular pink is soft and pretty with a slight blue cast. The navy trims gives it a sophistication…an edge………The navy is so dark you can easily wear the jacket with black too……I have it shown with the new Parfait Pink Linea Leisure T, A226482, but the white, navy or black Ts will work just as well………………I think a strawberry ice cream is required when wearing this jacket……………………………………

………………………………enjoy…………………..much Love…………………………Louis

“THE WHITE LINEA LEISURE JACKET”

t-shirt17

……………………………..After all is said and done………………there just isn’t anything that beats…….WHITE….BLACK and SILVER. It’s as modern as a glass and steel building. There is nothing that says SUMMER more than WHITE………….Worn with your sparkling white new Linea T shirt and any Black bottom……you can never be wrong with this combination……For a change of pace add  your favorite colors to accent the white and black…….a summer favorite for sure…………………………….enjoy…………..much Love…………………..Louis

I'm with you @MacDUFF. I don't love it, either, and I most definitely don't need it. I have so many of these LL jackets now--some I haven't even worn yet! And, although I'm semi-retired, when I meet friends for lunch or run errands, I don't wear "leisure" gym/activewear-type clothes. I also still need work clothes for client meetings and travel.

No way would I wear this jacket for an "evening out," as Louis suggests above. Maybe others feel comfortable doing that, but even in more casual Colorado, people (over the age of 21, at least) do dress up in the evenings & leave their hoodies at home Smiley Wink

I hope we'll be seeing more than just Linea Leisure in the coming months.

I love the green/navy and pink/navy color combo but that is all.   I am with you @GraceCO.  I don't wear "leisure" clothes for errands, lunches, dinners, etc.

I agree. It is not for me but I hope to see some non-leisure pieces this spring.

Re: SNEAK PEEK Linea Leisure Jacket (all colors)...

I am afraid that Louis has been given an ultimatum - he needs to dumb down his line to include leisure items.  He is trying his best to accomodate with his usual flare for details and tailoring, but I think the Linea line of classics we love is on its way out in favor of leisure items.  I hope I am wrong, but that seems to be the way it is trending.

Re: SNEAK PEEK Linea Leisure Jacket (all colors)...

The collar is very cute, fun, different. A hood wouldn't interest me, but seeing the big collar, well, I like it. I love all the colors except green. That said I probably won't get this jacket because it is long. I have stubby 27"/28" inseam, and can't cover the legs without appearing out of proportion.

It seems everything Linea for the past couple of years has been long. Since the line has become one for taller ladies, it makes NO sense, QVC doesn't order long pants suitable for the tall ladies this line is for.
