Vitamix Soups

Do all Vitamix models make soup or just specific models? I'm interested in Item #K42951, but it doesn't state whether or not it makes soup. I woul love input from those of you who own one. My husband & I want to purchase one but we would like one that provides the greatest options. Mahalo!

Yes, this model does make soup.  I think the only one that doesn't is a mini one.

Maybe it's just me, but I like to put the veggies in a glass pyrex measuring bowl (a BIG one) and nuke them first.  That way they taste a little more "cooked', they don't get as whipped up, and I don't have to let the machine run very long.  I have an old 5200 that works like a charm for soup--with or without pre-cooking!
