Sauerbraten, made it? Like it?

I'm thinking of making this in a day or two and haven't made it (or even eaten it!) before. I remember my Dad telling me this was his favorite dish growing up (my grandparents had a German cook). I've thought of attempting it many times in the past, but today finally purchased ingredients. I'll start marinating tomorrow.

It doesn't look difficult at all, but I'm wondering how we will like it. Heck, I'm wondering IF we will like it?

Any thoughts?
