My good old rice cooker died and I had to replace it. I bought a Panasonic fuzzy logic and it arrived today...I'm wondering if I made a mistake-it looks complicated, but I'm sure after I use it the first time, the mystery will be taken away and I'll be just fine.
Here's my question: I always misplace or lose accessories-like the measuring cup. In my old rice cooker (which was either on or off with no menu options) I simply used a standard measuring cup and followed the instructions on the rice bag. For example, if I used a standard cup of rice, I'd add equal amounts of water, a little salt and that was that. Can I do the same thing in this Fuzzy Logic cooker?
Also, this has a "porridge" setting...I looked at one of their recipes and I'm not so sure we're on the same page. To me, a porridge is any cooked grain....can I do steel cut oats in this?
Any tips would be appreciated,
Poodlepet
