Paola Valentini Sterling Satin Leaf Drop Earrings

J156608. Has anyone purchased these earrings? I just bought them to give to my DIL for Christmas. While the earrings are beautiful, I was so disappointed in the way they're packaged. There is nothing that identifies them as Paola Valentini. They came in little plastic bags in a plain white canvas drawstring bag (made in China) inside a plain cardboard QVC box. No printed insert about the designer and details about how the earrings were made. When I saw the on air presentation with Paola, there was so much discussion about Paola's reputation as a designer, the quality of Italian sterling silver and jewelry made in Italy, I thought they would have made more of an effort to do a nice presentation in the packaging. The cost with tax and S&H was $80 so I don't think it was too much to expect better packaging worthy of designer jewelry. As it is, they could have come from any local jewelry store, and if they had at least I would have received a better box for them!
