NY woman traveling from STL to NY, pouch with $40-50k of jewelry missing...

All,

This made our local news last night. A woman traveling via Delta from STL to NY had $40-$50k worth of jewelry in a pouch in her carry on bag. She was asked to check her bag at the gate. She failed to take out the jewelry pouch and put in her purse. As a result the bag with the jewels got checked and now the jewels are missing. I am sure many of us will be doing some traveling this summer and as such a word to the wise, don't put anything in checked baggage of value.
