Jewelry packaging...hate it!!

What is up with the cheat jewelry packaging? I purchased a diamonique tennis bracelet as gift for a milestone birthday present. It came in a long cardboard box, but inside the box was a long white drawstring bag...REALLY??? What am I supposed to do, slide the bracelet in the bag? What a horrible way to present an expensive gift. It makes the bracelet look very cheap. What happened to the nice jewelry boxes? Even Judith Ripka pieces have come in drawstring bags instead of nice ring or bracelet boxes. What is going on??
